Born Sylvia Celeste Shoemaker in 1936, Sylvia Browne is a self-proclaimed
psychic and spiritual medium. Making several appearances on a variety of well known American talk shows, she has become a star within the paranormal genre.
Her greatest claim to fame has been in her predictions of future events and their outcome. Each program that she appears on also allows time for interaction between her and the television audience. Members of the audience will ask questions based on very little input of information and Ms. Browne will comment on her perceived outcome.
There have been a number of books written by this woman all dealing with the aspects of being a
psychic. She has both written and spoken of her ability to communicate with those that have ‘passed over’ and become part of the spirit world.
Psychic holds a strong belief in heaven where homes are built ad pets reside along with the people there. Among her claims is that those who have passed over continue to exist at around three feet above the level of the ground but at a very high vibration level. The average human, who has not tapped into their paranormal abilities, are unable to sense these beings.
The predictions of Ms. Browne have been met with much controversy. Opponents that have kept up with her career in paranormal activity, claim that despite her claim of eighty-five percent accuracy, there is very little to back up that number. They go on to say that she has been inaccurate in her predictions, more often than being correct.
Despite this skepticism by her critics, she remains to draw enthusiastic crowds wherever she appears. People, probably due to their interest in the unknown, clamor to get the answers to their future queries. A woman, who has a great deal of magnetism to the public audience, continues to retain her many believers.
